KBSS was awarded the civils, supply, fabrication, surface treatment and Installation of the structural steel for the Space Surveillance Telescope Facility based in Exmouth, WA.
Wheatstone LNG Project
KBSS was engaged by Bechtel to supply specialist trades for Construction and commissioning services. The scope of works included; Provide project management support, Provide Engineering services, Provide Specialist welding teams, Provide Electrical and Instrumentation Fitters, Provide Mechanical teams, Provide support during constructional and commissioning phases.

Parker Point Warehouse Roof
KBSS were engaged to undertake this project comprises of the replacement of the Parker Point warehouse roof damaged by Cyclone Damien in February 2020. The purpose is to supply and install new roof sheeting, flashings, roof ventilation system with personnel and equipment to complete the scope to a high standard, adhering to relevant Rio Tinto Safety Standards and procedures especially around the working at height factor
NBWT Fixed Plant Platforms
The Scope of Work includes the shop detailing, supply, fabrication, testing, surface treatment, delivery, and installation of structural steelwork platforms. There are 4 scopes of work, to be performed at the following locations: 1. Secondary Crushing Bin 2. Dry Screening Bin 3. CV2104 Transfer Chute 4. Reclaimer RC2701 Access Platform KBSS were engaged to undertake the Scope of Work for this project to fabricate and install permanent access platforms at the Nammuldi Below Water Table (NBWT) Fixed Plant as outlined below. Site Works are classified as High Risk (Class III) and include management of Critical Risks including but not limited to Fall from Height and Lifting Operations. These Works are continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate the need for temporary scaffold currently used for personnel maintenance access to equipment during Plant Shutdowns. Read more.
Hampton Harbour Channel
During the first quarter of 2017 KBSS Engineering carried out the removal and replacement of Rio Tinto’s Parker point 1W, 2W and 10E channel markers. This work included the design, fabrication and installation of a new topside from HAT +2, Including the replacement of the pile, platform and electrical system. This work was executed from the Bhagwan Alamo, with the use of a work platform designed to bolt to the pile, and where needed with the use of an EWP from the deck of the Alamo.
Dampier Dolphin Maintenance
During the last quarter of 2016 and throughout 2017 KBSS Engineering carried out the Maintenance and structural repairs of Rio Tinto’s Parker point and Cape Lambert A Dolphins and Fendering system’s. This work included the design, fabrication and implementation of Rio Tinto’s Scaffold over water reduction platforms.
Cape Lambert Lighting Upgrade
KBSS were engaged to undertake this project comprising of supply, installation and commissioning of Sixteen (16) new 18 meter lighting poles with four (4) x Dialight FLEB66MN2NG dual LED fixtures (385W) 2. Upgrade existing light poles with four (4) x Dialight FLEB66MN2NG dual LED fixtures (385W) and recertify a. One (1) x 18m existing break-back type lighting pole b. One (1) x 30m existing, hydraulically lowered lighting pole work. KBSS provided full engineering deliverables, including quality verifications, certifications, labelling, documentation and drawings required for successful completion of the described works.

Yara Fertilisers Maintenance
KBSS was originally engaged on Yara’s 2014 Turnaround which led to KBSS being awarded the Maintenance contract in January 2015. During this time KBSS has been working as their major maintenance contractor with peak manpower across the sites ramping up to 150 during Turnarounds
